We are currently looking to recruit an Employment Advisor on a fixed term contract, for a local professional service who offer a committed and supportive workspace.
The main purpose of the role is to assist individuals with physical and mental health conditions and help assist them in securing paid employment.
To be considered for the Employment Advisor, you ll require the following essentials:
Experience working in a supportive role, ideally within a welfare-to-work environment but not essentialEnjoy working within a busy environment, supporting and motivating othersHave a passion to help others and assist them in achieving their potential Be dependable, trustworthy and capable of applying diplomacy The ideal candidate will also have completed IAG training and mental health awarness but this is not essential.
Within the Employment Team, you ll also be:
Responsible for the caseloads of people using the Individual Placements and Support Programme (IPS) and Work Health ProgrammesHelp individuals identify the benefits of paid work and advise accordinglyOffer individuals relevant coaching/training on a 121 basis as well as part of a groupEncourage and match individuals to work opportunities, considering their capability and learning needsMeet with current and new individuals regularly to monitor their progressLiaise and maintain a relationship with Primary Care Trusts, NHS teams and VCS organisationsEnsuring that all processes are actioned promptlyUpdate the bespoke electronic system and maximise opportunities with employersEnsure that GDPR, Health & Safety and Equal opportunity legislation are adhered toProvide and share success stories from individuals Depending on the role, you will be required to travel to other sites across Nottinghamshire, therefore must have access to transport.
