The Employability Advisor is an exciting, new role that sits within the Apprenticeship Team. It will work across all services in the Council to create a programme of events and activities to highlight an array of job opportunities and training within the Council.
The Opportunity
Salary: GBP37,336 to GBP40,221 per annum
Contract Type: Two -year Fixed term or Secondment
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: Based - County Hall, Chichester (Hybrid working)

As the Employability Advisor, you will establish pathways into pre-employment and training within WSCC, promoting the Council as an employer of choice across the county. You will be responsible for creating new campaigns to support external candidates in accessing opportunities that will support recruitment and retention.
You will be working closely with internal managers to create openings for all areas of the labour market, liaising with external providers to establish training pathways for individuals to gain the skills they need to find employment which may be within the council. You will report on the progress of this high-profile post on a regular basis.
