Securitas has the following interesting and unique role available for Emergency Fire Crew (EFC).

Securitas partners with several UK Fire Services to provide Emergency Fire Crew Capability (EFCC).

EFCC are mobilised in the event of a major incident, pandemic, industrial action or any event which could reduce normal fire service capability. Securitas is the only security provider to offer this unique service, and has more than 600 trained EFCC on standby and ready to mobilise.

This is a casual role based on deployment and training only.

How you will make an impact as an Emergency Fire Officer:

Ensure competencies through continued professional development on an annual basis to remain deployableHave the ability to work at height within confined spaces including partial or total darkness, work outdoorsWhere applicable, wear breathing apparatusWear and maintain personal protective equipment, taking note of any corrective actions in line with company policyMonitor Security and Fire related equipment, ensuring faults are reported correctly.Deal sensitively with people in difficult, trying and ambiguous situationsTo travel and be away from home for prolonged periodsWhilst in times of 'stand-down' on operational assignment partake in scenario-based and continuation training.Be prepared to move and deploy at short notice any time day or night to a central 'muster point' in Central LondonWithin a team and as an individual using common sense, initiative and to carry out duties that would normally be conducted by regular fire-fighters.Promoting a professional image of Securitas.Essential SkillsWhat you will need to be an Emergency Fire Officer:

You will need to commit to 12 days training at the Fire Service College in Moreton-In-Marsh then a 6-day refresher course annually.

You will also need -

Provide the right to work in the UK and pass security clearance.Must be physically fit and capable of taking part in rescue simulation and emergency procedures, wearing and using heavy equipment.Able to work at heights, in confined dark spaces.Clean-shaven due to being able to wear a face respirator when requiredBe able to work as an individual & as part of a teamAn understanding of the need to portray a professional image at all times.Ability to deal with situations politely, tactfully & with discretion.Ability to retain & maintain a comprehensive & up-to-date knowledge of Security & Fire Safety systems & proceduresAble to evidence basic computer skills & possess the ability to self-teach & learn how to operate software tools & databases.Ability to be adaptable & responsive to sudden changes in priorities, plans & schedules.About CompanyJoin Today and Build a Better Tomorrow!
