This is a 240 VAC electrostatic air cleaner, not a filter or a dehumidifier.

It works by using a very high potential gradient electric field to cause pollen (etc) to be deposited on metal plates, from which it can be rinsed off under a hot shower every few months. The operation depends on VERY FINE wires to create the intense electric field and these are in good condition. You must not touch them or try to clean them mechanically (but they are very strong). ONLY extremely fine wires can create the intense electric field needed for correct operation - this is indicated by a green light showing high voltage is present and correct. Other than that, you just switch the device on and leave it. Can be run at high, medium or low fan speeds. Useful to remove tobacco smoke, pollen and other very fine particles that pass through ordinary filters. Not really feasible to post - heavy fan motor and heavy casing. Offers.
