We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-time Electrical Supervisor.
The Role:
The responsibilities of this Electrical Supervisor working out of our Brighouse Depot the role includes, but not limited to, carrying out post work audits of completed works, scoping work, issuing permits and ensuring electrical safety rules are followed. Carrying out electrical surveys for properties marked for upgrade works. Role may require remedial works to be undertaken as and when required as well as assisting with electrical admin. Genuine opportunity for progression to QS and management roles.
Work area can cover anywhere within the north of England, from Northumberland to Northampton. Van and fuel card provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Job scoping
Visit sites before schemes start to measure up and order materials.
Liaise with colleagues and supervisors on timeframe and labour requirement.
Review RAMS for jobs.
Collate site M&E drawings.
Authorised person responsibilities
Complete initial electrical site safety report before each job commences.
Oversee electricians or electrical subcontractors.
Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork
Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by electricians on site.
Administration
Complete red line drawings for as-builts when schemes are completed.
Ensure electricians’ job sheets are collected and van sheets are completed and authorised.
Ensure NICEIC certificates are fully completed and issued to Qualified Supervisor for signoff.
Key measures & targets:
Ensure all paperwork is completed as required.
Completed permits and RAMS returned to electrical manager on a weekly basis.
Key relationships:
Electrical team, including Electrical manager, site supervisors and electricians.
Regional contact for accommodation and training arrangements
Buying department and wholesalers
Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
Essential Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 5 years’ experience).
Full UK Driving Licence (Maximum of 3 points due to insurance)
Good understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
Experience of scoping jobs and ordering materials
Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
M&E Knowledge
Good IT skills
Good literacy skills
18th edition (Apprenticeship) qualified electrician
CSCS ECS card
SSSTS or SMSTS
Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character
Well organised and able to meet deadlines.
Excellent people management skills
Desirable
Test and Inspection 2394/2395 (2391) Essential
Solar Experience is advantageous but not essential, training can be provided to the right candidate.
