Electrical Shift Engineer, Manchester, GBP40,000 - GBP42,000 p.a.
We are working with a leading National Building Services and FM Organisation who are looking to bring on Electrical Shift Engineers to cover their critical commercial contracts in Manchester.
Day Shifts ONLY Working pattern 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off, 2 on 2 off, - RepeatShift 1 - 5 Days workShift 2 - 2 Days workThen repeat every 2 weeks - 7-day work in a 2 week period
Carry out routine/essential Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as required across HV and LV distribution systems (including generators), in a safe, efficient, and effective manner at several key buildings in the Manchester area.
Undertake fault finding, investigation and reactive repairs to a variety of different types of installations, such as: DX Splits, UPS units, Static switches, LV/HV generators, Trend BMS System.
Involved in extra works and project works.
To work to set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained.
Ensuring reliability of the Plant and associated electrical systems on site.
Carry out technical surveys of the above services and systems.
Electrical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
Carry out minor installation work.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Experience in a similar environment ideally critical environment (Essential)City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 / NVQ Level 2 (Essential)18th Edition / 17th Edition (Essential)City & Guilds 2391/5 Test & Inspect (Desired)Experience in Electrical & Mechanical aspects of general building PPM schedulesPrior experience with permits to work.PASMA/IPAF certified.HVAP / LVAP (Desired) - Training AvailableBe conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices.
