Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location Lenham, Kent

Salary- GBP43,000 per annum depending on experience

Do you have previous experience with mechanical handling equipment, conveyors, elevators and milling equipment?

Do you possess strong knowledge of bearings, pneumatics, electrical control systems, process control, fault diagnosis and safety?

We have an amazing opportunity in Lenham for a Maintenance Engineer to work for one of our clients. In this role, you will work full-time, 4 on and 4 off days and nights on a rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities

Responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance work; including breakdowns and planned maintenance of packaging machinery Attend breakdowns and keep machinery downtime to a minimum Drive and initiate continuous improvement across the factory to enhance quality, efficiency, performance, safety and waste reduction Responsible for the completion of PPM tasks and daily checks Assist in the training of others and identify own training needs Ensure all work undertaken is completed adhering to the company s Hygiene Code of Practice and Health and Safety requirements Make sure all work carried out is legally compliant with Health and Safety standards Maintaining tools and equipment to safe working conditions Provide support to the other engineering teams as required Other duties as deemed reasonable Skills and Experience

Previous experience working with high-speed packing machinery Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment Previous experience of mechanical handling equipment, conveyors, elevators and milling equipment Time-served engineering apprenticeship Strong knowledge of bearings, pneumatics, electrical control systems, process control, fault diagnosis and safety Excellent health and safety awareness Experienced in breakdowns and planned maintenance Experienced in completing routine checks and identifying preventative measures Computer literate and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to use a CMMS system Willingness to work flexibly as part of a rotating shift system.
