A multi service M&E contractor based in Stoke on Trent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer/BIM Technician to join its expanding design team on a full-time basis, to manage client design projects and produce technical drawings for commercial installations.

The role offers an attractive salary and benefits package up to GBP50,000 per year plus bonuses, as well as flexitime, ongoing training and career progression opportunities.

As the Electrical Design Engineer/BIM Technician you will be responsible for:

Producing 2D/3D drawings in AutoCAD or Revit for mechanical and electrical installation projects. Understanding client requirements to ensure projects meet their expectations and specifications. Working closely with the operations team to select and deliver the appropriate equipment, materials and design solutions for client projects. Ensuring design solutions are produced on time and in accordance with good engineering practice, current legislation, and company procedures.

The Electrical Design Engineer/BIM Technician will have the following skills and experience:

HNC/D or Degree in Electrical Engineering or NVQ level 3 in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline are highly desirable. Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software or similar is essential. Strong creative and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Proven experience manging design projects for a multi-service M&E company would be a distinct advantage, as would experience working in the construction industry or a building services environment. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

You will be working 40 hours per week form the office in Stoke between 8.30am 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
