Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established special purpose machinery company based in Rotherham to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer.

Our client provides advanced technology for products in the metals industry. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, well-organised, has a good understanding of machinery safety principles, and has a positive attitude to good health & safety working practices.

This role is primarily to provide electrical design to the Product Development, Manufacture, and After-sales functions of the business. Reporting to the Design Manager, the Electrical Design Engineer will produce documentation which will ensure the configuration control and traceability of products together with all relevant international Engineering Standards and Product Safety Directives.

Other responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer will include;

To work to timescales with a production system to allow projects to be completed to planTo review requirements documentation for each contract as it arises, ensuring that objectives and technical specifications are clearly defined and understood Generate electrical schematics, bills of material and production documentsActively participate in the whole life cycle of an engineering project, providing electrical system expertise to ensure the successful delivery of the productLiaise with purchasing, production and other design functions and provide regular updatesInterface directly with customers and suppliersRemotely support where necessary testing and site commissioning activitiesCompile training manuals and facilitate Customer training sessions We would be keen to speak with Electrical Design Engineers who possess the following:

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or scientific disciplineExperience working in a similar environment Hold 18th edition certificationProficient in using AutoCAD and InventorUnderstand PLCs and control systems. (specialist machinery, production machinery) Experience of defining and developing electrical systems for bespoke equipment.Comfortable working in a cross-functional team offering expertise and creating shared solutions.Be familiar and proficient at electrical schematic definition & generation, with a demonstrable record of applied electrical engineering practices.Possess good data and analytical skills This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a company with a history of growth and an ongoing commitment to expanding their success and invests in people who wish to progress and develop.
