Electrical Assembly Technician
Job Description:
In the role of Electrical Assembly Technician, your primary responsibility is to support the Electrical Supervisor in assembling control units and machinery within a factory environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Control Unit Assembly
Interpret mechanical layout drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
Use various factory tools for assembly tasks.
Construct backplates based on provided drawings.
Perform layout and drilling tasks for enclosures, gland plates, etc.
Machinery Assembly
Interpret mechanical layout drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
Utilise factory tools for machinery assembly tasks.
Install various types of cables on machinery.
Assemble multipin plug socket units.
Manufacture flying leads for machinery.
Provide support and advice to in-house manufacturing and project teams.
Implement quality control/improvement measures.
Maintain a tidy workbench and keep workload organised.
Qualifications:
Electrical qualifications/knowledge are advantageous.
Possession of an 18th Edition qualification is a plus.
Previous experience in an electrical role is required.
Qualities/Skills:
Attention to detail, precision, and efficiency in work.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Previous involvement in manufacturing control units and assemblies.
Familiarity with reading wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
