This started as a 1980s mustang strat
Finished in real 24ct gold leaf black burst Lauquer clear coated
Relic look, but new bridge (fixed) Jack input, pickups, wiring, knobs, covers, string tree…. All new parts From northwest guitars.
Locking tuners
Black (no holes) pickup covers
Black and gold knobs
Roller string tree on headstock
Body cavity has copper foil tape to reduce electric noise
Pickguard also copper coated
Reliced
The neck. I striped the varnish off and buffed the fretboard with a wool polishing pad which heated it up….giving it a baked look popping the grain
It’s been finished in good quality bees wax (briwax)
I’m not sure what the body is made of, but it’s solid with a bit of weight to it. Definitely not basswood
I screwed a wooden block in the bridge cavity, to accommodate the new fixed bridge.
Plays and sounds good
Absolute unique one of a kind that I spent a lot of time on…… at a sensible price.
I would keep it but strats and single could guitars are not my thing and I’ve got lots of guitars
