An Edwardian gentleman's walking cane (not very long) for smart dress purposes; consequently it bears very few signs of wear. In other words, condition is very good.
The smooth, pommel (or knob) head of the stick is a marquetry design, i.e. inlaid with a different wood - in this instance, a darker, reddish one - to add to attractiveness. The original, metal ferrure is around the tip.
These canes were often made by an individual for the particular owner. They are highly collectible. This one is going for a price below its valuation.
Length: 85 cm (33 and a half inches).
Width of pommel head: 5 cm (about 2 inches).
Width of tip: a little less than 1.5 cm (just over half an inch).
Cash and collect only, from central Torquay (sorry, no remote sales).
