Education Manager
Reporting to: Head of Learning and Participation
Contract type: Permanent, part time, 21.75 hours / 3 days per week (0.6 FTE).
Salary: GBP18,000 to GBP20,400 gross per annum gross, depending on experience and based on part time working (GBP30,000 to GBP34,000 gross per annum based on full time working).
Location: The post is based at our office and gallery in Islington, London with some home / offsite working.

Reporting to our Head of Learning and Participation and collaborating with learning and skills colleagues, wider team members and external stakeholders, our incoming Crafts Council Education Manager will manage all elements of our established and future formal education programme from planning, delivery to review.
Role Objectives
The postholder will:
Plan, monitor and evaluate the annual Craft School programme and any other education projects, supporting the ongoing development of this work and meeting key performance indicators, funding requirements and Crafts Council vision and objectives Champion craft education and our 'Make First' pedagogy through a range of advocacy and campaigning activity Ensure that all craft education activity explores and promotes diversity and inclusion Work with the Head of Learning and Participation to develop the education offer and seek funding for our work.
Main Duties
The postholder will:
Manage the Education Programme including planning, monitoring and evaluation, project budgets and operating plans Work in collaboration with colleagues as a member of the Learning and Participation team and with colleagues across the organisation (such as communications team) Champion Crafts Council's 'Make First' pedagogy - finding new audience and stakeholders for wider engagement Devise and deliver high-quality craft education activity to a range of education settings, both in person and digitally. To include: Craft School Training for teachers and craft educators Sharing craft careers advice and materials through Discover Creative Careers Programme Finding new ways of sharing existing education resources Build and maintain productive collaborative relationships with craft education partners and supporters Be aware of developments in education policy and practice to ensure the Crafts Council's activities remain relevant and effective and engage with opportunities as they arise Represent Crafts Council at external policy and sector support meetings Contribute to income generation activity for Crafts Council education and learning programmes, such as fundraising HOW TO APPLY
