Polarn O. Pyret is looking for an Ecommerce Marketplace Manager to join their team!

Location: Lincoln (Hybrid)

Salary: GBP25,000-GBP30,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

nearly 50 years ago, the brand has grown retail and e-commerce channels exponentially in the UK

and Ireland over the past 18 years. The company is now looking to expand its UK team to support

exciting online growth plans. Based in beautiful heritage offices in the Cathedral Quarter in Lincoln,

the business currently operates a 3 days office 2 days home working scheme.

Ecommerce Marketplace Manager - The Role:

This brand new and exciting role is responsible and should take ownership of E-Commerce

Marketplaces across both the UK and all International parts of the business.

The role should seek to maximize our presence and sales from the various and growing number of

marketplace platforms; including John Lewis, Next and all future expansion, for example Marks &

Spencer and Zalando.

You will be joining us at a time of strong ecommerce channel growth, this wide and varied role will

cover product data, price & promotional activity, along with categorization checks, reviewing

marketing opportunities, fulfilment, and content management for all channels.

The role will also liaise directly with 3rd party marketplaces, internal stakeholders, marketplace

agencies and the wider International team.

Ecommerce Marketplace Manager - Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the ecommerce marketplace strategy for the business

- Manage the day-to-day running and development of all internal and third party ecommerce

channels including John Lewis, Next and new marketplaces in 2024

- Overall responsibility for KPI s across third party channels

- Ensuring an on-brand experience across all third-party channels aligned to the channel

requirements, through imagery, product data and enhanced content

- Explore new marketplace opportunities to find opportunities for further market growth

- Manage, create and optimise online content, products listings to drive incremental sales

- Plan, develop, and implement paid media strategies to increase sales, visibility, brand

recognition, and drive sales

- Analyse product performance data to identify areas of success, failure, and potential

improvement

- Propose strategies to troubleshoot problems and implement improvements

- Determine why products are trending up or down, clearly articulate observations and

propose strategies to troubleshoot any problems

- Oversee the logistics of the stock moving from our UK and Swedish warehouses to the marketplace warehouse

Ecommerce Marketplace Manager You:

- Digital/ecommerce background

- Strong project manager skills

- Strong internal and external communications skills

- Experience working with major ecommerce marketplace platforms

- An understanding of marketplace data principles including mass data import and export

- High level of attention to detail

- The ability to work well under pressure

- Ability to prioritise workload

- Highly organised and efficient to be able to move from task to task and under tight deadlines.

- Stock, margin and pricing management experience

- Motivated and is a self-starter and can work under their own initiative.

- Ability to learn and jump between different IT systems.

- Highly experienced user of Microsoft Excel

- Experience of adding and editing content via various CMS systems

- A good understanding of E-Commerce channel metrics. ABV, Conversion Rate, Sessions

Ecommerce Marketplace Manager Preferred Experience:

- Experience working with major ecommerce marketplace platforms

- Knowledge of retail industry and relevant KPI's

- You hold a relevant degree (e.g., Informatics, Economics, Controlling, Business Analysis,

Marketing etc)
