MindfooD are a 3 piece Jam band that meet every Sunday with few exceptions up in Holloway Road rehearsal rooms next to the station. We are in our late 50's and the power and spirit of rock lives within us. We are mature, but a bit silly and grumbly though humorous and there is no anger between us. As a group we realise that we've got to work together to do what we are doing and we are committed to putting the effort into the songs to put a show together. We practice at home independently as well and we've got enough expertise and experience to put our own shows on if need be. This is purely a fun thing for us to do and there is no money in it aside from petrol money if we are lucky.

Till now ive been handling both vocals and guitar which has been fun to get us where we are at but we now need to step up a notch and seek out a dedicated singer able to sing an eclectic set of songs to improve our presentation. If you know anything about the bands we are covering you will realise the the subject matter of the songs is varied and sometimes unusual but do not be deterred. If you are a singer with ambition and have a good voice with some performance experience plus a bit of charisma and the dedication to learn the songs then drop me a line and start a conversation about coming down to join in for an afternoon.

This time out we've been performing cover songs by the likes of Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Hawkwind, Robin Trower and Neil Young. The music is sorted and we are proficient at the songs we play. We have done a handful of gigs this year and have more pub gigs lined up in the new year.

We could start with something simple like Beatles - Tomorrow never knows, Zappa's - The Slime, Hendrix - Purple Haze, Neil Young - You are like a Hurricane and Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb. Then we can work out a way of sharing the lyrics and links to media versions of the songs we are playing. We've got a little bit of our own media up as well that i can share.
