Nursery: Walton Montessori

Position: Early Years Practitioner, Full-Time

Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP28,000 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reports to: Room Leader

We are looking for a full time, Level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Early Years Team. The nursery follows the Montessori philosophy and ethos, encouraging independent learning through being able to make choices. The nursery is nestled in the heart of beautiful Walton-on-Thames.

Working at our Nursery

Based in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey and established in 1994 under a different name, Walton Montessori is a full-time pre-school open for both girls and boys aged 3 months - 5 years old.

Walton Montessori Pre-School focusses on each child's unique targets and encourages independent learning. The practitioners at Walton Montessori always strive to be the best and truly enjoy what they do. They are proud to offer the children a calm, safe environment where they are academically stimulated and nurtured to be the best versions of themselves.

Capacity: 56 Places

Rooms: 3 months to 2 years in a spacious, separated room and 2 to 5 years in the same room

Opening Times: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, 50 weeks per year

About the Role

Plan, create, and implement engaging activities for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Keep a record of children's progress and reflect on learning practices.

Communicate to develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.

Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, as well as following all child protection and safeguarding guidelines.

Provide support to other nursery staff members and work collaboratively with them.

About You

Full and Relevant Level 2 or 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)

Enthusiasm for making learning fun and engaging for each child

Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the Early Years Framework.
