Totton College have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainer/Assessor to assess and coach a small caseload of apprentices undertaking the delivery of the Early Years Practitioner Level 2 & Educator Level 3 Standard & Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard with an exciting opportunity to support and develop the delivery of Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Train and assess apprentices to enable them to meet the requirements of their qualification, by carrying out assessment visits in their workplace. A flexible approach to delivery with a mixture of blended learning, online and face to face workshops.
Plan assessment visits, based on the learner's individual plan/profile, using a variety of assessment methods including - Observation and professional discussions.
Determine assessment decisions about learners' knowledge and understanding and provide developmental feedback.Maintain records of apprentices progress and achievementsWork alongside Internal Quality Assurers and awarding bodies to ensure quality of provision and learner success.Conduct learner action plans and reviews in a timely and quality manner.Create and deliver monthly workshops for under pinning knowledge, skills, and behaviours. Regularly attend and contribute to apprenticeship team meetings. The successful candidate will ideally have:
A Level 4 or higher qualification in Childcare.
Have worked within a Childcare setting.
An assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1/A1, TAQA/CAVA) or willingness to work towards
Experience with Microsoft Teams required and have an understanding of the EPA process and supporting learners through gateway
Experience/Knowledge of working with apprentices or other work-based learners.
Experience/Knowledge of working with e portfolios.
Additional Requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Enhanced DBS check required.
