We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Document Controller for a busy production environment. Working within a large engineering company the document controller position will be heavily involved in projects and special works. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Main duties will include
Maintain a system for document management, electronic or hard copy Register and action all project documentation on the chosen document management system or collaboration system Control the issue and distribution of project documentation Ensure that all documentation is issued according to the relevant standards Maintain a controlled and secure storage area for project documentation in a format dictated by the project Conduct a check on all documentation passing through document control to ensure documents meet the relevant protocols i.e. document numbers, revisions etc Create reports for project documentation as requested Apply quality standards, procedures & processes for the company and the department Support the development of document control procedures and processes contained within the company Document Management System Assist in audits when required Manage the archiving of documentation and assist in the creation of record retention documents in conjunction with the Design Team Leader / Design Manager Administration tasks as directed by the design managers and project co-coordinators
Some credit control duties are to include
Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment Responding to client queries Keeping customer retention levels high Reconciling accounts Providing administrative support to finance team Keeping close watch on debtor account balances Reducing debtors Days Sales Outstanding Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures Customer relations
The right candidate must have the following
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Advanced Excel skills will be seen as a benefit Good level of English language (written and spoken communication) Ability to manage own time scales and workload Ability to work collaboratively with all departments Knowledge of relevant document control software would be advantageous but training can be given
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8:15 am to 5 pm, with Friday 9 am to 1 pm
