As a Project Document Controller you will be working on and supporting the quality department on the building of three new Substation projects in the Argyll & Bute area, supporting our Substation colleagues to deliver 'Right First Time' quality projects to our clients.
What you'll be doing
As a Document Controller, you will have the following accountabilities:
Manage and maintain confidential records Execute on workflows / transmittal processes Manage the control of Internal and External registers, to ensure they both align Create templates and file all relevant documentation- Sharepoint and other platforms Distribute information with correct configuration management and version control Seek continuous improvement on current systems and processes Provide Feedback on any documentation issues that impact the wider business Liaise with project teams to ensure that they have a full understanding of document control Provide training as required such that documentation control requirements are met Ensure that the project team are notified of all potential opportunities and risks Support in compilation, control and submission of Quality handover information Check and review formatting of documentation Provide information for various project KPI's Who we're looking for
The following skills / experience are essential:
Proficient in IT systems used in documentation control - ViewPoint, BIM360 plus other EDMS experience Experience of document control Basic understanding of BIM and digital tools An ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence Experience of working on a variety of project types Must hold an up to date driving license Why work for us
