Job Title: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager
Location: Remote / Covering SYNLAB sites across the UK
Salary: 55,000 to 60,000, per annum, plus 10% Bonus

This role is pivotal in leading the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of SYNLAB's DEI strategy and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
As the DEI Manager, you will play a central role in promoting and embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion within SYNLAB. Your duties and responsibilities include:
Delivery of Strategy:
Collaborating with senior stakeholders, HR teams, and DEI champions to lead the delivery of the DEI strategy aligned with SYNLAB's values and business objectivesUtilising benchmarking assessments and research to identify gaps and opportunities in SYNLAB's DEI effortsCreating, implementing, and project managing action plans, programs, and policies to promote DEI across all levels and business areas within SYNLABWorking with the Communications team to promote and communicate the DEI strategy throughout the organisationTraining and Education:
Developing and delivering training programs to enhance cultural competency and promote a more inclusive work environment under the guidance of the Head of Learning & DevelopmentProviding guidance and support to staff members and managers on DEI mattersStaying informed about employment trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to diversity and inclusion and integrating them into SYNLAB's initiativesCollaborating with DEI champions to upskill and coach them to be effective in their rolesRecruitment and Retention:
Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team, HR team, and Hiring managers to implement diverse and inclusive recruitment strategiesRaising awareness of unconscious bias in the hiring process and working closely with the Talent Acquisition teamDeveloping initiatives to enhance the retention of diverse employees in line with the DEI strategy. This may include creating employee resource groups, talent pools for underrepresented groups, and providing internal interview trainingDesired Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Educated to degree level or equivalent experienceMember of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) or ability to demonstrate equivalent professional competence through learning and experienceSignificant experience in embedding DEI into organisations, with evidence of benefit realisationSuccessful track record of project delivery in a high-profile or complex environment, including the provision of advice, policies, and projects to achieve equalities and social inclusion objectivesIn-depth knowledge of DEI best practices, trends, and legal requirements, with the ability to provide expert adviceDesirable:
Demonstrable ability to design and deliver training programs and workshops on diversity and inclusion topicsCIPD qualified to Level 7 or equivalent qualification in DEIExperience in writing communications related to DEIAbility to identify and control risks of not following best practiceCommitment to quality and attention to detailAbout Us:
