About us and what we are looking for:
Oxfordshire South & Vale Citizens Advice (OSAV CA) is a charity which provides, free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone who needs it. We are a highly effective service helping over 11,000 people each year. We have 30 staff (13 fte) and around 130 volunteers providing service across the two districts, based out of 4 offices and a number of outreaches. We are looking to become more innovative and ensure our advice service is fully equipped and organised to meet the increasing demands that are placed on it. We have never been more needed.
We are seeking to appoint a Director of Operations who will be responsible for the successful delivery of our diverse portfolio of advice services and ensure our service is fit for the future. They will take a lead in recommending improvements in and expansion of client services.
The successful candidate will:
Have knowledge and experience of strategic planning, resource management (including IT) and delivery of frontline/public facing services A minimum of 2 years' experience of working at a senior operational management level. Be an experienced people manager who will create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed and staff are empowered to do their best. A demonstrable track record in networking and building successful relationships and influencing and collaborating with a wide range of strategic and operational stakeholders.
