Digitech Trio Plus Band Creator Pedal
Digitech Trio Plus Band Creator Pedal
nottingham,nottinghamshire
£185.00

Description

Lightly used, boxed, manual and AC adapter all included.

The TRIO+ is a guitar pedal that listens to the way you play and automatically generates bass and drum parts to go with it. Bass and drum volume can be adjusted independently, as well as loop volume (yep, you can use it as a looper to add parts to the song, although I would recommend using this more as a way of laying down a rhythm or lead track for performing rather than treating it like a multitracker (although you can technically have as many overdubs as you want), at least from my personal experience. The TRIO+ also has a 'Simple Bass' button that lets you choose between a very simple bass part of something more complex.

Any parts you have recorded can be assigned to parts (there are 5 in total) and then sequenced, so you can, for instance, set a drum and bass part for a verse, chorus, bridge, fills, etc and then get the pedal to play them back in whatever order you like, meaning it's not just a jam track, you can use it as a backing for performing full songs.

The pedal has a few built in guitar effects, so you don't need an amp, you can go straight into a PA system, and it has an FX loop so you can use your own pedals if you like.

As far as the bass and drum tracks go, you can choose between 12 different genres and each genre has 12 different styles. I didn't experiment much with this, but if your tastes go beyond 4/4 kick drum rock then there's a lot to play with here.

You can save 12 songs to the included memory card, more than enough for most non-pro performers, but if you need more you can just buy a 2nd memory card (Micro SD).

There is also software available from the Digitech website to manage your loops etc on PC, but I've never used that so I couldn't tell you anything about it.

Reason for sale is just that I don't really use it much and need some extra cash. It's been sitting around for a while, so it's a bit dusty and could maybe do with a bit of a clean, but it's otherwise hardly been used.

Valued at about £257 new, I've seen it going for as much as £185 used, so that's what I'm setting my price at due to the condition of the unit. I've seen it as low as about £130 too, but I have no idea what condition that unit was in.
