About the role
We are looking for Digital Tech Buddies to support our Bristol service. You will be based in Bristol and, ideally, you will be able to commit a minimum of one hour per week to volunteering.
You will be helping people who are not very confident using technology, from social media to word documents. You don't have to be an expert, just have enough knowledge to be able to explain the basics to someone!
You will receive training and regular supervision to ensure you feel confident in your role. You can read more about the benefits of volunteering on the full advert on our website.
About the service
Our service is dedicated to delivering a high-quality service that focuses on supporting individuals to achieve goals. The aim is to improve the lives and support independence for those living with a mental illness. The Bristol Services team includes a Service Manager, Recovery Coaches, a Digital Officer, a Group Development Coordinator and a Peer and Volunteer Coordinator.
What you will be doing as a Digital Tech Buddy:
I will provide 1:1 support to Bristol Community Support Service clients/members I can clearly explain how to use social media platforms which may include but are not limited to: The Bristol Clic Website, Facebook and Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Email services and FaceTime.
