We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Housing Association who are nationally based for a Development Delivery Manager in Plymouth on a temporary basis.
The Delivery Manager will play an integral part of a Development Delivery Team and contribute to the success of the delivery team meeting its objectives.
Duties include:
Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the Development Department, in the Directorate, the wider Commercial Company, and the Housing Association.
Ensure that projects are effectively managed in accordance with business objectives and scheme approval and accurately reflect costs, income, funding, programme and quality requirements to optimise the benefit to the Group
and contribute to its core business.
Use Pamwin and/or other appraisal software to appraise and monitor the financial performance of projects.
Build and maintain relationships with Local Authorities, Developer Partners and other key stakeholders. Represent the organisation at meetings/networking events to promote and raise the Group's profile as a developer of new homes.
Prepare Project Briefs, in liaison with the Commercial & Technical Team to brief and appoint architects and other external consultants required to successfully deliver the project. Review proposals submitted to ensure compliance with
internal policies and business objectives as well as funders design, financial and contract criteria.
Manage the relationships with Solicitors, Consultants and Contractors/Developers appointed throughout the development process.
Experience and pre-qualification criteria
Minimum HNC equivalent (preferably a Degree) in a development delivery role or construction related field.Proven experience within a housing development or other property based commercial organisation.Thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation.Experience of delivering projects across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.Can demonstrate a detailed and complete understanding of contract obligations which is complemented with a good working knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification.Experience of successfully delivering projects and controlling time, cost and project quality and using various forms of procurement including OJEU, Frameworks, Development Agreements and Joint Ventures.Able to work to and meet agreed targets and deadlines.Proven track record of cross team working and cooperation across the business.An understanding of delivering phased regeneration projects.Experience of successful engagement and working with development partners including Local Authorities, privateDay rate Negotiable, if you would like to be considered then please do get in touch with Mel
