They are looking for a Design & Development Engineer join their well–established tooling team; the ideal candidate will have previous experience designing tooling for press machines.Design & Development EngineerPermanentMonday – Friday 08:30–17:00Salary dependant on experienceBased in BirminghamDesign & Development EngineerJob Description Designing press tools for use in hydraulic power presses using 3D CAD.Implementing and managing continuous improvement principles including highlighting deficiencies and recommending working and process changes.Assisting with request for quotation (RFQs) support calcs, tool layouts and concepts.Using 2D and 3D CAD to produce designs, drawings and models to make design changes.Identify and implement design improvements.Lead product development, innovation and 'think outside the box' to generate engineering advantage for customers, whilst developing new /improved solutions.
