A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Design CAD Operator to join our client's innovative team in Lancaster

This role is commutable for people living in Lancaster, Garstang, Preston, Morecambe, Blackpool

Design CAD Operator Salary: Up to 35,000

Design CAD Operator Hours of work: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday

Create specifications, for the purpose of conventional and digital textile printingHand draw colour separations, combined with CAD knowledge to create high qualitycolour separationsWork with separation software to create beautiful colourways and colour match exactly to customer colour briefsWork closely in the Archive, recording and maintaining original textile documents whenrequired, prior to separation workWork cohesively within a large and varied department where clear communication andteamwork are keyDesign CAD Operator skills required:

As this is a technical role, a good understanding of mathematics (minimum GCSE gradeC) is essentialDegree in Art or Textiles (or a related field) and/or equivalentGood understanding of repeat patterns and textile print methodsSolid understanding of CAD software, such as the adobe suite would be beneficialCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookAccurate and fine attention to detailA strong drawing abilityA keen interest and passion for textile printingA natural creative flareJoin the team!
