In this role, the deputy manager will be responsible for assisting the home manager with the day to day running of the home, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of high-quality care services, while striving to develop and mentor your dedicated team members.
Your new role
Be an inspirational leader and role model, supporting your team of committed care and support workers to always deliver exceptional care Provide a high quality, homely living environment for students with physical and learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. They all have big personalities and even bigger ambitions to live life as independently as possible! Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure care plans are followed, whilst seeking to continuously improve quality. Monitor the needs of individuals on a regular basis and, where necessary, liaise with other professionals to find suitable additional services or alternative accommodation when this is indicated. Ensure that the services meet the requirements of CQC, the Local Authority and any other relevant bodies as required Participate in discussions and meetings that relate to the future of the charity as a whole Assist the Registered Manager in the administration of related financial issues. Take part in the recruitment of prospective staff as needed. Good knowledge of using technologies in care settings and how this can innovate and improve the care provided. Strong background knowledge of the care sector, CQC and regulatory bodies. Experience and Knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in management roles and adult care 2 years' experience working within the care sector is essential. Proficiency in IT systems. NVQ Level 3 Essential or NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care held or in process Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Ability to navigate challenging situations. Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check. Alternatively, holds DBS on the update service.
