Our prestigious client urgently requires experienced temporary dental triage nurses to work in their booking centre in Bradley, Huddersfield, HD2. The positions are to start as soon as possible.
The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year which will include Bank Holidays. All staff are expected to work on Bank Holidays should their shift fall on that day.

Mondays 08:30 - 13:00 - Every week Mondays 13:30 - 18:00 - Every week Mondays 16:00 - 20:30 - Every week Tuesdays 08:00 - 13:00 - Every week Tuesdays 12:30 - 16:00 - Every week Tuesdays 13:00 - 18:00 - Every week Wednesdays 08:00 - 14:00 - Every week Wednesdays 09:30 - 12:30 - Every week Wednesdays 14:00 - 19:30 - Every week Thursdays 16:00 - 22:00 - Every week Fridays 07:30 - 13:00 - Weeks 1 + 3 only Fridays 12:00 - 18:00 - Every week Fridays 18:00 - 22:00 - Every week Fridays 00:00 - 06:00 - Every week Saturdays 07:00 - 11:00 - Weeks 2 + 4 only Saturdays 07:00 - 12:30 - Every week Saturdays 07:30 - 12:30 - Weeks 2 + 4 only Saturdays 08:00 - 18:00 - Every week - x2 Saturdays 08:30 - 13:30 - Weeks 2 + 4 only Saturdays 12:00 - 16:00 - Every week Saturdays 13:00 - 18:00 - Weeks 2 + 4 only Saturdays 18:00 - 22:00 - Every week Sundays 16:00 - 22:00 - Every week Sundays 18:00 - 00:00 - Every week Sundays 00:00 - 06:00 - Every week PLEASE NOTE: There is a MINIMUM requirement of 16 hours per week, and you MUST NOT already be in full-time employment to apply for these positions.
GBP14.20 per hour Monday Friday 8am-6pm
GBP15.20 per hour Monday to Friday 6pm-8am, and Saturdays and Sundays
As a Dental Triage Nurse, your duties will include:
To respond to dental patient calls transferred from NHS 111 in a professional and timely manner, in line with all relevant protocols/procedures and key performance indicators for the service
To provide evidence based clinical assessment, prioritisation, and advice over the telephone working within clinical capabilities and competencies and in line with the NHS Pathways Dental Module
To identify those patients, appropriate to be booked into an urgent dental care appointment and prioritise need when booking into an appointment, taking into account patient circumstances/preferences as appropriate
To ensure that patients are given correct information relating to exemption from payment of dental charges
To ensure that patients who are not appropriate to be booked into an urgent dental care appointment are provided with relevant information regarding self-care and/or finding a regular dentist using the Directory of Services (DOS) and/or the NHS Choices website
To strive to improve performance and quality as needed, in line with clinical governance and performance review policies/procedures
Experience and skills required:
Previous dental triage nurse experience is ESSENTIAL Current registry with the General Dental Council is ESSENTIAL Evidence is required Experience of working in a primary or secondary dental care setting is required Please note that all successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check (Criminal Records Check) and will need to provide references covering a 5-year period.
