A global leader in Electronic Fire and Security systems, is seeking a talented Demand Planner to join their Procurement Department in a role that promises a world of possibilities.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start times – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.Location: Modern working environment with a vibrant atmosphere.Salary: up to GBP40k, along with a generous annual leave allowance.Additional Perks: Xmas Shut Down, Training and Development Opportunities, Life Assurance, and so much more! Your Mission as Demand Planner: you'll be the guardian of product and service planning, ensuring customers receive their products on time, every time. Your role will involve creating meticulous forecasts for suppliers using the SAP Business One MRP function. These forecasts will be shared with the Commercial Team to ensure accurate delivery planning.
What to Expect in this Demand Planner role:
Component Planning: Your responsibilities extend to planning for electrical components, ensuring they're in the right place at the right time. Consideration of the standard lead time of 6 months delivery is a key element of this role.Continuous Monitoring: Regularly review all products, identify demand fluctuations, and share this crucial information with stakeholders across the business.Product Evolution: Implement the 'Evolution of Products' planning process, striking the perfect balance between inventory levels and value, ensuring timely deliveries for all products. Your Duties and Responsibilities as Demand Planner:
Define supply and production plans for all items (make to order, make to assembly, and make to stock).Set up ERP with essential product management parameters, including Bill of Materials, ECN (Engineering Change Note) Modifications, and more.Utilize the MRP system to release production or purchase plans for finished products and related materials and electrical components.Collaborate with the Purchasing Team, tracking trends, and confirming next actions (Pull In / Push Out Deliveries).Execute Phase In / Phase Out of products in the ERP system.Produce forecasts and assist with rescheduling delivery dates on purchase orders.Create and maintain service indicators such as Late lines, stock rotation, and slow–moving stock. Skills and Experience for this Demand Planner role:
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Demand Planning.Experience managing long lead time products (6 months or more).A background in electrical products or electrical components industry.Proficiency in managing MPS/MRP processes within an ERP system.Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must.Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Sharepoint is preferred but not essential.
