Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm (with some flexibility on delivery times)

Delivery Driver - This Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team at our branch located in Havant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of lighting products to our customers in an efficient and prompt manner, collection of returned equipment and to support our production and warehouse teams as and when required.
Delivery Driver - Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive a company van to deliver products to customers within the estimated arrival time
- Plan and determine appropriate delivery routes and maintain schedules
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the van to ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Inform line manager of any significant repairs and maintenance of van
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean and tidy between deliveries
- Support warehouse and production departments during busy periods with picking and packing of orders for despatch and other duties as assigned by Team Leader in line with company needs
- Occasional overnight stays if location cannot be reached within normal working hours
Delivery Driver - You:
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner always ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements
- Deal with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner
- Good knowledge of the local area with strong map reading skills
- Attention to detail to ensure deliveries are completed as per the correct procedure
- Adaptability to meet service demands and work effectively in a team
- Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Full clean UK licence
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
