Our client is a very well–established global supplier to the automotive industry, with a presence in 32 countries and with Headquarters in North Staffordshire.

They are currently seeking a Quality assistant to work on site at one of their major automotive customers, based in Liverpool, to act as the interface and first point of contact between the customer and the plant.

Duties

Contact person and first point of call for the customer for all Quality related matters (complaints, product and process optimization).To ensure the operation conforms to the QMS specific requirementsSupport the preparation of and participate in pre–series and volume launch readiness eventsSupport the development of customer specific designed components and ensure PPAP requirements are achieved.Monitor/perform/record/arrange rework activities for both series and pre series quality.Integral part of the quality complaint management process, from receiving, containing, finding solutions, corresponding with manufacturing plants and delivering 8D reports.Continuously develop Quality Management System.Be part of the UK Project Team and lead quality aspects of internal projects.Assist and offer support to the customer and 3rd party audits.Monitor compliance and implement corrective actions. Requirements

Knowledge of automotive systems and specifications, specifically in APQPExperience in PPAPCan interpret wiring Schematics and engineering drawings.Strong interpersonal skills to liaise, negotiate and customer interface directly with the customer and key stakeholders.Has experience working in automotive environment.Advanced user of MS–Office.Knowledgeable on Industry known problem solving techniques. Example 5 why analysis & 8D report writing.Prepared to travel to production and customer sites both within the UK and overseas if required Benefits
