We're delighted to share that we're recruiting for a German speaking Credit Controller to join our team based in Glasgow. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of clients and applying collection activity in line with current processes and protocol to ensure that timely invoice payments are met.

The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve, supporting the delivery of effective resolution of client disputes and stakeholder queries. The credit controller should also be able to demonstrate effective communication at all levels, regularly reviewing their respective portfolio with regional partners and collaborating with other internal functions to resolve any challenges and improve customer experience.

What are the day-to-day tasks expected in the role?

Manage a portfolio of client accounts ensuring invoices are paid promptlyUtilising all available communication channels, prioritising telephone contactUtilise relationships with key stakeholders to drive query resolution and paymentEnsure a best in class client experienceDeliver monthly debt, cash collection and DSO targetsProduce monthly customer statementsWork collaboratively with Sales Ledger, Placement Support and Billing to maintain accurate customer records, including but not limited to; payment allocation, master data management, credit note application etcAttend regular ledger reviews with Credit Control Manager/Team LeaderSelect and escalate accounts to Legal or Trade Debt Partners where appropriateMaintain accurate records in SAPManaging financial compliance and adherence to SThree processSupport Credit Control Team Lead with ad hoc initiatives

What Skills, Knowledge & Experience would I need?

Fluent German speakerExperience of managing a high volume ledger (desirable)Expert communication and presentation skillsAbility to review data and confidently make decisionsHigh degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word).Self-starter, disciplined, and detail oriented
