Holidays: 31 days start (inc stat), increase to 34 with service

About the Role:

Donaldson's are currently recruiting for an experienced credit controller.

The Credit Controller is an integral member of our accounts team and is responsible for collecting debts from our customers, evaluating the aged debt, liaising with our external debt collection agency, and providing administrative support to the business.

You will have proven skills and knowledge of the duties of a Credit controller, excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to always maintain a professional manner.

Main duties will include

Speaking to our clients in a professional manner to ensure timely payment of outstanding billsRegularly checking and respond to emails, messages, and calls from clients and colleaguesProcessing payments through our online payment systemProducing and sending out final notice lettersProcessing surcharges on accounts in line with the Companies policy on bad debtsNegotiating payment plans if deemed appropriateUpdating financial records and creating reports as neededResolving customer complaints in line with the Company complaints policyReconciling accounts and preparing write offs for authorisation where necessaryLiaising with the insurance team to identify any debt which needs to be recovered from the client after a claim has paid outTaking part in any training deemed necessary for your roleSupporting and assisting other members of the teamProviding cover for team members as required during absence and holidaysAbout you:

Proven experience in a similar roleExperience of working with and updating accounting systemsExperience of making credit control decisionsAbility to manage own work loads and use initiative to create a workable solution for clients and the CompanyProficient at Excel spreadsheets and WordExperience of using Google docs would be an advantageCore Skills
