The Cost Administration Manager will provide administrative rigour to project delivery with a good understanding of construction and civil engineering processes, as well as specific knowledge of labour and trades roles, construction plant and equipment, and construction materials. The Cost Administration Manager Role
Provide support to the Project Manager for the provision and management of labour, plant and material resources. taking a primary role in site establishment (mobilisation and demobilisation). Supporting the Commercial Manager in the creation of cost centres, budget setting and selection of a schedule of resource codes at the project initiation HR responsibility for weekly paid staff and industrial relations, with support from central HR department. Control of site purchases and plant hires through requisition process - ensuring sufficient detail and correct selection of resource and activity codes. Manage labour, plant and material cost and accruals within Company system. Control of site plant with support from works staff Production of accurate monthly cost reports to Commercial Manager.
Your profile:
As Cost Administration Manager you will be the link between project commercial and operations departments, and will provide support to the various disciplines across SRM projects. You will be methodical and measured in your work, working to strict deadlines, whilst being able to manage a busy workload, often with urgent tasks to complete.
You will have extensive work experience within the Construction/Civil Engineering Industry at project level. You will have strong commercial awareness and numeracy skills, which will be applied to all aspects of your role. You will be experienced and proficient in MS Office principally Excel. You will be accomplished at operating project costing systems including purchase ledger. You will have experienced of project purchasing/hiring of plant, equipment and materials. Attainment of membership of a role related professional body is expected.
