NXTGEN is partnering with a market leading Accountancy firm who have a great reputation in the region and are looking for a new Director to join their Corporate Tax team in Norwich. The new Corporate Tax Director will be at the forefront of a dynamic wider Tax team, working closely with Partners to ensure continued success, high quality output as well as development within the team. As a Corporate Tax Director within this team, you will work closely with a diverse client base, which has a big emphasis on OMB clients, privately owned and listed companies. Any experience working in other niche areas such as R&D Tax relief and Transfer Pricing, would help to add extra value to services provided to clients, and this would be significantly advantageous, however not essential. Within this role you and the corporate team will also work in hand with Senior leaders within Audit & Corporate Finance on projects as required by individual clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a trusted advisor to corporate clients, understanding their unique tax challenges, and providing tailored solutions. Develop strong existing and new relationships with clients in order to support clients' tax positions and manage tax compliance's and complex?project. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks for both the clients and the firm. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to growth and development. Proactively identify opportunities for business development and expansion, nurturing existing client relationships, and pursuing new client acquisition. Oversee the review and approval of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy, adherence to regulations, and high-quality deliverables. Collaborate closely with other departments within the firm, such as Audit and Advisory, to provide integrated and comprehensive client solutions The successful candidates will be CTA qualified?(or equivalent) and have a strong business acumen, proven leadership skills, confidence in securing new clients and driving business development, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
This role would also appeal to someone who has the ability and experience to add value to a strategic point of view, with this role being the number 2 to the Corporate Partner. The successful candidate will either be a Senior Manager coming from a strong background in practice looking to step up, or a seasoned and experienced Director, who's looking to drive change and make a financial impact to the Corporate team.
