Description of the Content Editor role:
They are looking for an experienced Editor to cover maternity leave for12 months, developing and maintaining financial wellbeing content for a brand new app. The Editor will join a high–performing content team, and contribute to a wider multidisciplinary effort, to manage the app and its content post–launch. You're the tone of voice and standards guardian for the in–app content. Highly organised, you manage the creation and amends process in a purpose–built CMS, making sure every piece of content is accurate, up–to–date, purposeful and member–focused.
What you'll do as the Content Editor
Report to the Director of Marketing on all content duties – Line manage the Deputy Editor and offer support with any management needs arising from the wider teamDevelop the content strategy, manage its delivery, and evolve the existing content with input from the multidisciplinary teamEdit and approve new content produced by the wider team, enforcing the style guidelines, keeping information compliant, relevant and up to date, maintaining high standardConceive original editorial ideas, and write educational, compelling and persuasive content that motivates members to pursue a happier and healthier relationship with moneyEvolve content production and amends processes, suggesting methods to improve efficiencySupport the Deputy Editor with experiments to optimise content and enhance the user experience Who you are
8+ years of experience in a similar role, you have substantial experience in a fast–paced brand content environmentMust have team management experience with the ability to coach and give constructive experienceBachelor's degree in journalism, English or similarAbility to plan content and oversee its production at volume to deadlineConceptual creative abilitiesFinancial services experience a bonusApp experience a bonus Benefits Benefits for the Content Editor
