Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Contact Officer to join a committed and supportive team for Stoke on Trent Council. This will initially be a 3 month contract with the potential of this being extended. This is a fantastic opportunity to help change the lives of children and young people.

Location: Stoke

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week

Pay: GBP12.44 per hour

Responsibilities:

Observe and supervise the interactions between families and children attending contact.Provide support, advice, guidance and safeguard the welfare of children and young people and provide regular feedback to families and carers.Develop positive and professional relationships with children and their families/carers and professionals.If required, to attend court to provide verbal evidence.Attend meetings in relation to the service, children and families as appropriate. Requirements:

A minimum NVQ 3 in working with children and families or equivalent experience of working with children and families.Have unrestricted use of a car and a driving licenceExperience of direct work with children, their families, and carers in a statutory or voluntary agency which provides services to vulnerable children and their families.Be flexible to work between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm including evenings and occasional weekends as needed on a rota basis.Knowledge and understanding of child development.
