They have been established for the past 13 years' under two highly professional ecologists who are now managing directors. They have a reasonable team consisting of admin staff & consultants that they are looking to add to due to increased workload.Their office is located in an attractive area where there are plenty of places to walk your dog (dog–friendly!), even so the office is easily accessed and well–connected to main cities. Their social and friendly employees anonymously voted via CIEEM on the support, training & development of staff and were awarded above 90% satisfaction.They have a healthy pipeline and work on a wide range of interesting projects from small works (single–household surveys / extensions) to complex developments.In–house they have specialists for newts, bats, crayfish, botany & BNG and a plethora of licenses to accommodate all protected species surveys, though no one person is pigeon holed to one type of project. During survey season you'll be expected to complete 1/2 surveys p/week depending on being a consultant / senior and workload.General Responsibilities:

BSc in Ecological/Environmental subject or equivalentExperience conducting and carrying out PEAs at the minimum (for a consultant position) and preferably protected species – for a couple of years.Experience writing technical reports (before review)Full UK Driving License and vehicle Desirable:
MSc in Ecological/Environmental managementA protected species license (any)Good botany skillsExperience on a range of projects (not just HS2)(For senior) Experience managing/tutoring junior staffCommercial awarenessInterest in BNGExperience with bat analysis/softwareDormouse license What you'll get in returnTheir TOIL system has been created by their ecologists and is reviewed annually – they don't work weekends, and you'll be given great flexibility.
