They employ a multidisciplinary approach, with teams of; geologists, hydrologists, hydrogeologists, planners and engineers, to develop tailored solutions for each unique project.Your new role

Undertake geological, hydrogeological, hydrological and land quality condition assessments across a range of sectors, including industrial and waste facilities, mineral and property associated with environmental planning and site development, divestiture and acquisition, pollution incidents and environmental permitting.Undertakes research for projects to collate and present information about the historical site development, geology, hydrogeology, environmental setting and sensitivity and/or managing and checking the information prepared by colleagues.Review of external documents, databases and reports to collate and present information for the project assessment.Plan and supervise site investigation works including complex and major site investigation works following and in accordance with internal and external guidance and standards comprising a range of investigation techniques, record the site activities and ground conditions and the collection of samples and to assist in the provision of training colleagues in field testing methods and procedures.Undertake the monitoring and sampling of groundwater, surface water and ground gases using a range of field testing and sampling equipment and overseeing the quality of monitoring works carried out by colleagues.Preparation of databases of field and laboratory information, recording and management of data in various formats, carry out the analysis and presentation of data, checking data / information in accordance with the Company quality management systems and/or managing and checking the information prepared by colleagues.Undertake the application of risk assessments models to assess the potential risks to controlled water, environment and human health associated with land and groundwater contamination and waste management facilities and providing technical support and checking the technical work of colleagues.Responsible for the preparation of databases of field testing and laboratory data, making sure that information is carefully and precisely recorded and managed data in various formats, carry out analysis and presentation of data and the checking of data / information in accordance with Company quality management systems, responsible for the accuracy and quality of their own work and checking the technical information prepared by colleagues.To undertake a range of duties arising out of the overall workload of the Company. What you'll need to succeed

MSc in Hydrogeology or related discipline is desirableBSc, MSc or MSci in Geology or Earth Sciences related disciplineFellow of Geological Society (FGS) or membership of a relevant professional bodyAbility to supervise a range of practical site works.High standards of written work. Computer literate with a good working knowledge of specialist risk assessment and/or hydrogeological modelling software.Experience of working with Quality Management Systems.Experience of project management and financial control including preparing and working to budgetsGood communication and team working skills.Good project administrative and organisational skills.Full UK Driving Licence.
