Community Support Worker - Learning Disabilities Coventry
Fixed-term 3 month contract (until 31/03/2024)
37.5 hours per week
GBP21,352.50 per annum (pro-rata)

The Group consists of;
Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity delivering person-centred care and support services. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health needs, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless, those seeking employability, education and training opportunities and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident offers their employees learning and development opportunities and wants to invest in their development and career growth. Through our apprenticeship scheme, we offer various courses in areas that will help support employees within their roles and for their further development.

About the role
This is an opportunity for people to join our Coventry Community Support Service. We provide housing related support services to customers with Learning Disabilities and/or on the autism spectrum to develop the skills and resources required to build resilience and live independently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and sustain a home Deal with maintenance and tenancy issues Manage finances, budget and address debt Maximise income including applying for and dealing with benefits Develop social confidence and safe social networks and networking opportunities Access education, training, voluntary and paid work opportunities. Improve physical and mental health and wellbeing About You
We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, enthusiastic, dedicated and want to make a difference in people s lives. You will have responsibility for providing a person-centered service to a caseload of customers within the community and our supported housing. You must have effective communication skills, good administration skills and be computer literate. The role is challenging and varied which requires people who see social care as a vocation.
Experience within social care as well as a good understanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and autism in the community and the Welfare Reform legislation is an advantage but not a necessity as full training will be provided. Successful candidate must always be able to portray professional standards.
