Description

Our client, a non-profit organisation, has been dedicated to supporting health and wellbeing for over 30 years. They collaborate with various stakeholders, including statutory and voluntary, community, and social enterprise partners in Surrey and its borders. They are currently looking for a Community Fundraiser to join their Marketing and Communications team. If you are looking for a hands on role where you can help to generate more revenue for a fantastic charity and work within the community to promote the services, this is a great opportunity for you

Location: Guildford / Hybrid with surrounding area travel for events

Salary: GBP27,000 - GBP30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

As a Community Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in developing and shaping the fundraising and community events aspect within the charity. Your responsibilities include planning and executing a diverse program of community events, researching fundraising opportunities, and establishing a portfolio of local events, sports challenges, and other fundraising options. Effective relationship-building with donors and collaboration with the communications team to promote events and fundraising opportunities are key aspects of this role.

Our ideal applicant will have/be;

Prior experience in a fundraising role within a charity. Alternatively, a strong foundation of knowledge and experience around event management is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally Organised and methodical approach to your work Comfortable working independently when needed but able to work in a small team Ideally, you have a valid driving license as the role involves travel to events, contributing to the successful execution of the community fundraising initiatives. eSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
