The candidate will be an experienced professional with a degree in construction who has worked for a number of years for the following companies:
A company that offers advice and services connected to dispute resolution and avoidance.
An organisation that contracts out and handles claims and disputes.
Promising applicants who work alone for one of the aforementioned companies will be given consideration.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience counselling clients on business and contractual matters and handling conflict resolution.
The following are only a few of the duties that will be involved:
Examining and advising on construction contracts.
Assisting Clients
Representation in tribunals
Working with solicitors
Knowledge:
Expert in construction law
Experience of managing, avoiding and resolving disputes
knowledge and experience with JCT and NEC Forms of Contract
Qualification:
The Candidate will be construction degree qualified, ideally in Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of
ten plus years' experience in the industry.
Chartered or other relevant Professional Qualification.
It would be advantageous for the candidate to have a second qualification or to be interested in
attaining one.
