Streamline are currently recruiting for a Sales executive to assist our client based out of Witham, this will be an office based role. After having a successful interview with the company you will be offered the opportunity to join them directly.
This will be working within the Road freight sector
Payrate - 30,000 - 35,000 basic (Commision paid quarterly)
Duties -
• The primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets by acquiring new customers, specifically for the Ocean and Air department and generally for the entire company. This involves identifying potential customers, pitching our products and services, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
•Work with the directors and management to enhance the company's profile in this Ocean and Air sector in the UK. This involves collaborating with the management team to develop marketing strategies and initiatives to increase awareness and visibility in the industry.
• Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers through face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails. This involves building rapport with customers, understanding their needs, and providing prompt and efficient service to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Visit potential customers to pitch for new business opportunities. This involves identifying potential customers, making appointments, and presenting our products and services in a clear and compelling manner to secure new business.
• Gather information for potential new business from new and historical clients. This involves researching and analyzing customer needs, gathering feedback, and using this information to develop products and services that meet their requirements.
• Provide customers with accurate cost calculations and quotations in a timely manner. This involves preparing quotes and estimates for customers, taking into account all relevant factors such as shipping costs, taxes, and other fees.
• Negotiate the terms of the agreement and close sales deals. This involves negotiating contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring that terms and conditions are fair and reasonable for both parties.
• Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on potential future buying trends. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying potential opportunities for growth, and providing feedback to the management team to inform future business decisions.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations if required. This involves attending industry events to showcase our products and services, network with potential customers, and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
• Provide advice on variations in price, delivery, and specifications to the Board of Directors. This involves using your knowledge and expertise to advise the Board of Directors on pricing strategies, delivery options, and product specifications to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the service offered to clients exceeds expectations. This involves working closely with colleagues from other departments to ensure that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Work with the Board of Directors to identify new markets and business opportunities. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying potential opportunities for growth, and working with the Board of Directors to develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
• Record sales and order information and send copies to your colleagues. This involves maintaining accurate records of sales and orders, and sharing this information with colleagues to ensure that everyone is informed and up-to-date.
• Review your own sales performance and strive to meet or exceed targets. This involves tracking your own sales performance, identifying areas for improvement, and taking action to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Complete a visit report for each visit attended. This involves documenting your interactions with customers, including any feedback or concerns they may have, to inform future business decisions.
• Qualify and set objectives for all potential visits before making appointments. This involves researching and qualifying potential customers before making appointments, and setting clear objectives for each visit to ensure that time is used efficiently.
• Submit a weekly summary sheet to the management of all sales activity. This involves providing a summary of your sales activity for the week, including any new business secured, customer feedback, and any challenges or obstacles faced.
• Prepare and present progress reports on a monthly basis to the Directors and management. This involves preparing detailed progress reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to inform future business decisions
