Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Legal Secretary to work within the Commercial Property Department to cover a period of maternity. Based at their contemporary Stockport office, this is a full-time role with some opportunity for flexible home working.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful Commercial Property Team and work alongside highly experienced Solicitors, who are experts in their field.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of support to the departments Fee Earners by undertaking the following duties: Audio typing letters, admin, reports, file notes Opening and closing case files and maintaining the filing system Assist on transactional matters, completions, Land Registry and SDLT forms Dealing with case management system, namely Visual Files, and progressing, updating and dealing with prompts on the case management system Elementary drafting of documentation Drafting correspondence Maintaining information on ONPs system, ensuring all new matter instructions are set up promptly Prepare covering letters Email management Scanning, faxing and photocopying Managing diaries, arranging appointments Client contact Maintaining professionalism at all times in dealing with clients and solicitors alike Provide an exceptional service both to the client but also to introducers and third parties Archiving, including retrieval of files from offsite storage and procedures for recording of new matters. Develop a culture of teamwork, high performance with a strong focus on customer care Person Specification:
At least 2 years' experience in a Legal Secretarial or similar role within Commercial or Residential Property In-depth knowledge of the Land Registry Portal documents and forms Intermediate level of IT skills is essential, including knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook and experience using case management systems, preferably Visual Files A careful and methodical approach to work demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that processes, procedures etc. are followed accurately Strong commitment to client care and to providing a friendly and helpful service Professional telephone manner and excellent listening skills Enthusiastic team-player who is able to work on own initiative Good organisational skills Good data input skills Possess a desire for continuous personal and professional development Benefits
