About The Role:

The company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Painting Estimator to join their dynamic team. As a Commercial Painting Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and costs, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Role Responsibilities:

Project Evaluation:

Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work. Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the condition of surfaces, existing coatings, and any potential challenges that may impact the painting process.

Cost Estimation:

Utilize industry knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material and labour costs for commercial painting projects. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services. Develop detailed and comprehensive cost breakdowns for each project.

Bid Preparation:

Prepare and submit competitive bids for commercial painting projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions.

Client Interaction:

Engage with clients to understand their expectations, preferences, and project timelines. Clearly communicate and present estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and understanding of project requirements. Participate in project kick-off meetings to transfer project details to the operations team.

Market Research:

Stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials to continuously improve the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Painting Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and industry standards. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with estimating software and tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
