Description

A great opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our esteemed and leading manufacturing company based in Driffield. As a pivotal member of the Commercial team, you will play a key role in material and subcontract procurement.

As the Commercial Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Procurement: Source and procure materials, products, and services in alignment with project requirements and specifications.Supplier Engagement: Issue inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, conduct comprehensive comparisons, and negotiate to secure the most competitive prices.Collaboration: Collaborate with sector leads to comprehend project requirements, providing invaluable support to ensure successful outcomes.End-to-End Management: Issue purchase orders and meticulously manage the procurement process from request initiation to final delivery.Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance, focusing on factors such as on-time delivery and product quality.Strategic Enhancement: Conduct market research and supply chain evaluations to improve efficiency and contribute to strategic decision-making.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with the Finance team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from 33,000 to 38,000, complemented by an array of excellent benefits. The position entails a 37-hour workweek, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. The business location is conveniently commutable from York, Scarborough, Driffield, Hull, Bridlington, Malton, and the surrounding areas
