Funhouse Comedy Club starts the New Year at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday January 4th with a night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is UK-based, French comedian and raconteur Marcel Lucont who has appeared on ‘The John Bishop Show' and ‘Russell Howard's Good News'. Having toured the world with his dry wit, bawdy chansons and exquisite poetry he has the audience laughing from start to finish. His deadpan delivery and surreal musings are both inspirational and intriguing.
Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, Greek comedian George Zach who has supported Luisa Omielan on tour. After gaining a degree in England he decided not to return to his home on a Greek Island. Instead, he chose to follow his passion for comedy, live in Newcastle and now entertains audiences with his funny Geordie observations.
Also appearing is Jules O'Brian, shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, she enjoys telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating all done with a twinkle in her eye.
Completing the line-up will be Amit Mistry with his personal tales about modern life as a millennial growing up in Manchester.
Compere for the night will be the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
