East London’s most dynamic cricket club is looking for new recruits for our highly successful women’s squad. Launched in 2020, our squad has grown to more than 50 in number. We’re a friendly, welcoming team, ranging from County players to enthusiastic beginners, and ranging in age from 12 to 55. Next summer, we’ll again be fielding two teams in the Middlesex Leagues, as well as playing friendly matches, so there’s something for everyone.

Indoor training for our women’s squad takes place on Sundays from 5.35pm to 7pm at Bridge Academy (Laburnum St, E2 8BA) throughout the winter. Each session caters for both softball and hardball cricketers and you don’t need to know anything about cricket to join – just bring your enthusiasm!

All playing equipment is provided, as well as a free SNCC cricket shirt. The sessions are be led by SNCC’s Director of Cricket, Gordon Summerfield, who has extensive experience of coaching Middlesex Women’s & Girls Squads. The emphasis at training and matches is all about participation and having fun.

In the summer, we play and train at Hackney Marshes, which is the hub for cricket in East London. We have a fantastic new pavilion, three grass pitches and the only outdoor nets in Hackney (with four net lanes). There will be softball and hardball matches most Sundays, with our home games being played on the Showpitch at the Marshes.
