College Grounds Gardener

Knightsbridge, London

27k to 30k per year (depending on experience)

We are looking for a Gardener to work on the prestigious grounds of a high profile, educational establishment in central London.

Applicants must have gardening experience and a full driving licence.

The role requires someone who can work productively and safely to ensure these popular, public spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Working hours are 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Main duties and person specification include:

Flowerbed maintenance including weeding and planting. Grass and hedge cutting using petrol equipment. Driving a company vehicle around campus and college grounds so a full, manual licence is required. Litter picking and leaf clearance. To check and submit contract paperwork. To communicate effectively with colleagues and management. To be hands-on, undertaking grounds maintenance duties. Demonstrable experience gained within an outdoor, facilities environment. Excellent communications skills. PA1 and PA6 preferred but not essential. Good understanding of Health and Safety at work. Demonstrable ability to improve team working to drive up standards. Able to plan ahead.
