This is an outstanding opportunity to join our clients' progressive team located in Whetstone. They are seeking to appoint a competent CNC programmer to operate and manage their CNC equipment. As a CNC programmer, you will be accountable for interpreting technical blueprints, inputting design specifications, modifying the machine cutting paths, and conducting quality checks on the final product. Additionally, you may be asked to carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that occur during the production process. To ensure success as a CNC Programmer, you should possess extensive experience in manufacturing, a meticulous eye for detail, and the capability to work autonomously.
CNC Programmer Responsibilities:
• Interpreting and comprehending technical blueprints and design models.
• Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.
• Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software.
• Selecting and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
• Modifying machine settings to the desired product specifications.
• Troubleshooting problems during the production process.
• Performing quality control tests during the production stage and on the final product.
• Cleaning and maintaining the machine.
• Training new staff on machine operation procedures.
CNC Programmer Requirements:
• Proficient in Alphacam and V Carve (advantageous to have AutoCAD as well)
• Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
• Ability to interpret design blueprints.
• Extensive experience with computer modelling software.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work without supervision and adhere to deadlines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to work after–hours when necessary.
